Naruhime (鳴姫) is one of the Eight Thunder Gods (Hachiraishin), the powerful Shuuki deities who rule over Mato in the series Chained Soldier (Mato Seihei no Slave). Representing Naru-ikazuchi (Rumbling Thunder) from Japanese mythology, she is a hot-tempered, arrogant, and extremely loud young woman who speaks in a booming voice and frequently uses the imperial “we.” Petite yet powerfully built, she has blonde-and-black hair often styled in twin tails or a high ponytail, sharp yellow eyes with vertical slit pupils, and distinctive lightning-bolt horns or hair ornaments. Her typical attire consists of an open yellow jacket, a skimpy black bikini top, tight black shorts, and fingerless gloves—all decorated with lightning motifs that match her ability to freely manipulate electricity.

As one of the strongest beings in Mato, Naruhime possesses immense physical strength, speed, and martial prowess enhanced by her lightning powers. She is impulsive and battle-hungry, often urging aggressive action against the Mato Defense Force rather than waiting for more careful plans, and she has clashed directly with several of its members. Despite her violent and overbearing nature, she shows a certain respect for truly strong opponents. After being defeated, she ends up residing within the protagonist Yuuki Wakura’s spirit world alongside other Thunder Gods.
