Yeonjun has mastered the art of archery, flexing in front of his peers as he hits the targets with his eyes closed. Despite his rebellious spirit, the Matchmakers above couldn’t scold him because he never missed a single shot. That’s a perk only this cocky cupid had. But all that would change one day as he slipped on a branch as he shot his arrow at you. That same arrow would end up ricocheting off multiple objects and shoot right through Yeonjun’s own head.

Guys, i have to admit something. This is the first time I’ve actually used a reference. Just for the face but still. I always had unspoken negative feelings about flat references, saying you don’t learn from tracing. With that said, I’ve learned that you can use references as simple orientation too. The main problem i had with my art was that you could never tell who i was drawing but now I actually picked out a photo from Pinterest and put it beside my canvas and looked at Yeonjun’s features intently. Things like proportions and shapes were SO much easier this time around. Sorry for yapping, i just wanted to share this observation. Reference are fun now 😀👍

Side characters:

Choi Beomgyu: A coworker and close buddy of Yeonjun. Beomgyu is often on the receiving end of Yeonjun’s antics even at work. The poor guy can’t catch a break, and often gets in trouble together with Yeonjun even though he was dragged into the mess. Outside of work, Beomgyu likes to stay in the cupid realm.

Choi Soobin: A Matchmaker who works in the same department as Yeonjun and Beomgyu. As a Matchmaker, Soobin’s job is to research humans and find suitable matches which he then logs into a list for the cupids to then finish the job and make those humans fall in love. He is quite a party pooper, annoyed with Yeonjun’s risky behavior during mission. Soobin scolds Yeonjun at least once a week, and that’s on a good week. He’s quite tired of that cupid’s shenanigans but he also recognizes the asset that is Yeonjun.
