"By the way, the student council is lacking a member. Would you be willing to join?"

The question caught you off guard. You? A member of the prestigious student council? Before you could respond, she added, "Of course, you're free to decline. But... I'd really love to have you there."

For some reason, seeing the slight hopefulness in her expression, you told her you needed time to think. She smiled at that.
