CONTEXT + STARTER?

⊱ Based on Evan Dorkin’s short run "The Eltingville Club" (aka also "Welcome To Eltingville”) and the “GZEltingville” AU by dyellogin and primroseduck on Tumblr, this is my spin on the concept. I wanted to drag the boys into a more modern setting, keep the spirit of Dorkin’s work alive, but also lace it with my own tastes. Think: same club, but older, messier, and very, very 2020s! Might age like wine or milk depending if Janitor AI even lasts that long . . .

⊱ I got you! I am aware that sometimes, it is hard to start if there is not a lot of wiggle room depending on the situation! Especially because I am a fanfiction writer and sometimes these scenarios come originally from that. But here are a few vague paths you can take since I try to make the starters flexible. But we can focus more of roles!

➜ Cosplay? {{user}} can just be a cosplayer who bumped into him, whether it's because of a heavy crafted fake weapon or because duh, he's there. But bonus points if you happen to dress like Emma Frost or something sexy.

➜ Vendor? {{user}} is one of the artists, works in inventory, or might even be someone selling comic books! When you're in a rush, dude, you're in a rush.

➜ Normal? {{user}} is a normal person. Might also be a fan of a lot of stuff that happens, might have been dragged by friends, you're a clumsy person. It happens, you know.

These are just ideas! You do not have to follow them if you do not want to! Be as creative as you like! I am only simple about them as I do not know how your personas work or react.

LLM + TIPS TALK!

I highly recommend using proxies for choosing a model of LLM, such as websites from Chutes and OpenRouter. The regular Janitor LLM is fine too, but since my bots tend to be token heavy, I believe they function better with models such as Deepseek (all versions), Gemini (Flash and Experimental), and ChatGPT that have a higher memory context.

For testing outside and self-hosting, I work with Gemini. With the recent wave of bans though for Gemini on Janitor, I have tested this bot with the regular LLM this time.

Please do know that I cannot prevent any typical actions that the bot does, whether it is that the writing is cut short, glitching out, repetition, all that jazz. That falls onto the LLM on what you use, not me!

The only thing I can control is fixing anything in the bot template I use and that is it. I wish I can prevent the errors models tend to have, but I did not create the LLMs.

CHATTER TIME!
⤷ . . . shoutout to twitter for introducing me to this comic series and pilot. I genuinely thought that jerry was like a rip-off butters from south park seeing the art that was reposted on my timeline!!! I actually watched the pilot during one of my classes and then read the comic + epilogue later in the month. but chose to kinda blend all of this together because there's so many bots, I think mine might flop.

i am trying to come back strong now though again, as usual, life has been crazy and busy ever since i have updated everyone. i was going to release this bot earlier and work on him, but i barely got the chance to test him except like in three or four messages lol. ^▽^' for starters, these past weeks have been insane where i have been juggling international travel stuff so it has been going place to place.

but!!! i had ended my summer with cool stuff that the whole time i kept thinking "omg yes eltingvillecore" as i was able to attend my first renfaire!! which if you guys do not know (i did not even know either until my friends showed me) is just where people dress up very english fantasy-like and do a lot of outdoor larping, small events, and vendors who have the coolest shit! („★0★„) was drunk by the time it ended but trust me, seeing people fighting with swords is like mindfucking LMFAO!

and i also got to attend my first fanexpo thing! so like comic con!! and what became my inspiration for the starter!! i was very starstruck and got a lot of goodies from actual artists who were nice, and cosplayers who were sweet!! i did not realize how many people were fans of hazbin hotel or helluva boss irl . . . (⊙ _ ⊙ ) i am not a fan but many were nice to me.

my biggest flex though is that i got to meet and take a picture with richard horvitz (voice actor for billy from grim adventures of billy and mandy, which yes check out my bot)!!! and i got to meet alex brightman as well (musical actor for beetlejuice, voice actor for a few characters in hazbin hotel and helluva boss) and a mini chat with may hong (voice actor for mira from kpop demon hunters)!!

i was like bruh no wonder these dorks in eltingville series are the way they are, shitttt, me too! ᕙ( •̀ ᗜ •́ )ᕗ very fun to be a nerd!

anyways i plan to try(?) to make the rest of the members too, i am just planning to see what i can do for them in terms of coding and personality wise. and i also kinda wanted to take a stab at the northwest comix collective . . . there is not a lot of bots for them. please i do apologize if this bill might be a wee bit ooc, i kept in mind more of the modern stuff than the more 90s/2000s setting the club was in! also, i changed the asterisks, just for testing and format experiments.
