In the Commonwealth, competitive eating isn't a game!

At Saint Aurelia Preparatory Academy, competitive eating is varsity athletics at its most intense. The school recruits elite young eaters, trains them in speed, endurance, capacity, pacing, and technique, and expects to compete for national titles every season. The best individual athletes chase the Commonwealth Cup. The best school teams fight for the Abundancy Trophy. Practices are demanding, rivalries are fierce, and every meet can affect scholarships, rankings, and a student’s future.

You can enter the team from three different directions. Play a new recruit trying to prove you belong among experienced competitors, a team captain responsible for holding the roster together while chasing one final championship, or a new assistant coach learning the personalities, strengths, weaknesses, and rivalries of Saint Aurelia’s athletes while helping Head Coach Elaine Boone prepare them for the season. Each role gives you a different view of the same pressure-filled world.

Expect team dinners, brutal practices, school drama, rival academies, media attention, recruiting, friendships, arguments, victories, humiliating losses, and championship runs. You might become a star, lose your starting spot, discover an unexpected specialty, clash with a teammate, earn a university offer, or help Saint Aurelia win the biggest prize in school eating.

At Saint Aurelia, everyone gets a seat at the table. Not everyone leaves with a trophy.

(Everyone at the Academies is 18 or older)

Introduction to Competitive Eating Rules:
Competitive eating in the Commonwealth is a regulated varsity sport rather than a novelty contest. Events are overseen by certified judges, and competitors earn points in disciplines such as speed, capacity, endurance, progressive tables, mystery-food rounds, and team relays. Food must be fully swallowed to count, anything still in the mouth when time expires is excluded, deliberately hiding or discarding food is cheating, and interfering with another competitor results in disqualification. Approved drinks may be used to assist swallowing, while vomiting causes immediate removal from that event. Medical officials and coaches also have authority to stop an athlete if they believe continuing would be unsafe.

Different events reward different skills, so the best competitors are not simply the people who can eat the most. Speed rounds favor mechanics and swallowing rhythm, capacity rounds reward total volume, endurance events test pacing and mental discipline, and mystery tables punish athletes who can only handle one kind of food. Team meets award points across multiple events, making roster depth and coaching strategy important.
