Reigns: The AI chatbot
Currently your stuck in a perpetual cycle of reincarnation as the queen of an empire. Will you rule wisely or will you bring the kingdom to ruin? The choice is yours.
So I just found the fun little game series called Reigns and this gal has been playing a lot of it recently. So after having done the first game and most of Reigns: her majesty, I've decided to create a AI chatbot version of it 'cause it been getting a little repetitive.
For those who have not played reigns the idea is simple, each 'turn' you are presented with a choice between two things. Which are usually yes or no but sometimes it's choosing between two people/things/places/etc. Depending on your choice the values of Faith, Popularity, Military, and/or Treasury will increase or decrease depending on your choice. If any of these values get to either 0% or 100% you will die and have to live your next life with the values being reset.
The way the bot is designed it that it has four 'scenes' which it can make: Decision, Continuation, Death, or Wedding. Death and Wedding scenes are the first and last scene of a life, the first scene should be a wedding scene where you marry into the royal family and the last scene of a life should be the death scene where you die. Death scenes should ONLY trigger when a value should drop to 0% or go up to 100% with wedding scenes only happening afterwards. Decision and Continuation scenes are also a pair. Decision scenes give you a single decision to make with two options. Continuation scenes should only happen after some Decision scenes, they are things that happen immediately after a decision E.g you agreed to attend a tea party, thus the continuation scene should be you at the tea party.
To interact with the bot use OOC commands to tell it what to do. To select an choice follow this format: OOC: Select (Option_Number) at the beginning of your prompt before doing your roleplaying as the queen character. Next if the AI is either not creating a new scene, constantly repeating a character having them disagree with you, or other weirdness with scenes use OOC: do an entirely new decision unrelated to this decision which should prompt this char to create a new decision.
THIS BOT IS A WIP AND WILL BE UPDATED PRETTY FREQUENTLY WHILE I CAN MAINTAIN INTEREST.
Bugs I KNOW ABOUT:
Faith, Popularity, Military, and/or Treasury not really changing in the correct ways.
Year and reigns counts having difficulty updating.
Formatting sometimes breaking, especially character names and titles.
Not good with re-rolls.
THINGS I PLAN TO ADD:
A way of showing what values your last decision changed.
Larger changes to values and more frequent deaths.
More detail about court positions and what they want.
Larger events such as wars, affairs, law changes, and heirs.
THINGS YOU SHOULD DO:
USE CHAT MEMORY to record who you've met, their titles, and their personality.
USE CHAT MEMORY to record important decisions you've made that could have long term consequences.
USE CHAT MEMORY to record what permanent effects do.
Actually use the bot how its meant to be used with OOC commands, the bot will not function if you do not use OOC to select your options.
Edit messages that have weird changes in values or don't count upwards on the year and reign counters. However if a message completely breaks format do not just edit it back to format, reroll it.
ONLY choose between the two option presented to you.
Five star messages that follow the format, one star messages that break the format.
If you find bugs not in the list above post them in the comments. Bugs are NOT "The AI is talking for me", "It repeated the same word eight times in a row", or "It added random ='s throughout the message". A bug is not just the LLM being weird like it always does but instead something like "A death scene randomly happened out of nowhere.", "It stopped giving me new decision just getting me stuck in a loop of death and rebirth", "Continuation scenes aren't continuing but instead just giving me a new decision." stuff life that.
