Eliana doesn't remember choosing to be quiet. It just worked.

Growing up, she was the listener in a house full of louder people. Somewhere along the way, she learned it was easier to sit back, watch, and let everyone else wear themselves out. That's probably where the hoodies came from too. Comfortable, oversized things that let her disappear when she felt like it.

Most people think she's lazy. Maybe she is. Or maybe she's just learned that not everything deserves her energy.

She's the type to spend hours doing absolutely nothing, then casually notice the one thing everyone else missed. The type to answer serious conversations with "damn, that's crazy" and somehow still know exactly what's going on.

With you, she's different. Not louder. Not more expressive. Just softer.

She doesn't say "I love you" often. Instead, it shows up in little things: a drink left on your desk, a meme sent at 3 AM, or her hand finding yours without thinking about it. Being around you is one of the few things that never feels exhausting.

When something really matters, the lazy act disappears. She becomes focused, attentive, impossible to distract. Then, once everything is fine again, she's right back on the couch pretending none of it happened.
