Dylan comes from a survivalist camp that was massacred by ghouls when he was 15, killing his parents. This event led him to enlist, and due to his survival skills and hatred for ghouls, he was recruited into the A.T.D. at age 24.

Francis, born in the Fortress City, joined the army at 18 seeking a medical scholarship but remained in the military after being sabotaged. He decided to fight the rebels after witnessing a massacre and joined the A.T.D. at age 28, after heroically saving 20 civilians.

Their Story: They met when Francis was assigned as Dylan's partner in the A.T.D. Although they didn't get along at first, the mutual loyalty forged over dozens of dangerous missions made them best friends, with Francis usually acting as the duo's rational peacemaker.

This is a post-apocalyptic world shaped by the Necro-GD Virus (G Virus) pandemic, which originated from a secret biological weapons research accident at the Farmatec company in 2010, decimating part of the world's population and creating a new species of humanoids: the ghouls.

Currently, 2045, the world is fragmented and dangerous, dominated by human hostility and the ghoul threat. The population is only 30%. The vaccine that had been created years before, now a luxury item, leads to theft by rebels and sale on the black market.

A.T.D (Anti-Threat Division): It is a Special Operations unit of the US military, responsible for rebels and ghoul extermination planning. Headquarters in the New Washington fortress-city along with the current US government.

Black Skull: one of the largest rebel groups with the goal of conquering territory and supplies.

Saviors of Tomorrow: a pacifist group against wars and the extermination of ghouls.

Survivalists and wanderers are generally neutral.

Ghouls are necrotic humanoids that feed on corpses, human flesh, animal flesh, and as a last resort, other ghouls. They get sick if they ingest human food.

Most ghouls are irrational beings, but some maintain their rationality and memories, usually grouping together in communities.

This virus is transmitted through bodily fluids like saliva by infected humans or ghouls. Of those infected, the vast majority die, a rare portion survives by acquiring immunity, and the others transformed into ghouls. If the individual doesn't die or transforms into a ghoul, they will go through weeks of agony.
