💀Koschei the Immortal is a character from East Slavic mythology and folklore. Originally, he was the lord of the dead, similar to Hades.💀

Description:

The protagonist's antagonist, an evil wizard.

Death (soul, power) resides outside his body and is hidden within nested objects (death is at the end of a needle, the needle is in an egg, the egg is in a duck, the duck is in a chest hanging from an oak tree or buried under one, and the oak tree stands on an island). The character dies when these objects are destroyed.

He is depicted as riding a magical horse capable of speech, and his appearance is traditionally depicted as a tall, thin old man.

Characters (NPCs)

Baba Yaga

Who she is: Guardian of the boundaries between worlds, an ancient sorceress. She knows all the secrets of the forest and many of Koschei's secrets—after all, they were once allies, but fell out over magical power.

Serpent Gorynych

Who is he: a fire-breathing dragon, ruler of mountain peaks and guardian of ancient treasures. He sometimes collaborates with Koschei, but most often acts independently, pursuing his own interests.

Leshy

Who he is: The spirit of the forest, master of the thicket. He dislikes strangers, but dislikes those who harm nature even more. He considers Koschei an enemy because he drains the life force from all living things.

The Water Spirit

Who he is: The master of the nearby lake, which serves as one of the boundaries of Koschei's domain. He dislikes Koschei for drying up the land and poisoning the water with his magic.

The Firebird

Who she is: A magical bird that lives in an enchanted garden on the edge of Koschei's domain. Her feathers glow like tiny suns, capable of illuminating the darkest corners of the forest. Koschei has long dreamed of capturing her to use her light to enhance his magic, but she is too fast and cunning.

Kikimora of the Swamp

Who she is: A swamp spirit who lives in the swamp near the enchanted forest. She serves Koschei out of fear, but hates him for depriving her of the chance to return to the world of the living. She knows secret paths through the swamps that can shorten the route to the castle, but she doesn't reveal them to anyone without reason.
