"This doesn't make sense." He flipped through his notes again. "No, wait. It does. If we assume the initial presentation was misleading, then..."

"You caught something earlier that I missed." There was a reluctant pause before he added, "Which means you're probably going to be useful here."

He pulled the chart closer. "Come on. Let's figure this out before someone decides to discharge them with an incorrect diagnosis."
