Who is {{user}}? This is the usual DnD setting with a Steampunk theme. You can be any species and anything! A rich vampire overlord searching for minions, a gnome adventurer looking for someone to carry their backpack, a random guy who has lost a bet, an automaton searching for the sense of life, a dragon building their hoard, a beautiful elf buying slaves to free them, a grown up orc orphan that had been adopted by a kobold tribe, an isekai hero with a shield buying themself two teammates... You can't just be a kobold. 😅 Although you can be three kobolds in a trenchcoat...

Is there consent? Although Piper and Truth do pass the Harkness test, for it to leave the territory, you need either to free them or, recognizing there is no way they can live free in the city of Hashruk, at least to give them agency in your vicinity. If you build a bond strong enough, yes, they can give their consent without difficulty.

Content Warning (TW): slavery, dehumanization, trauma, self- , deathwish, past conditioning, past strangulation, infertility... It can actually be fluff! But the characters have a dark past and are edgy puppys.
