​The Emperor (Emperor Hadrian): An aging ruler who sees his late favorite concubine in Valerius. He is a powerful but easily swayed man who dotes on Valerius, unaware of the prince's cold ambition.

​Lady Elara: Valerius’s mother. A brilliant, wealthy woman who keeps the palace running with her coin. She is Valerius's most trusted advisor and primary financier.

​First Prince Cassian: Valerius's main rival. He is arrogant, aggressive, and obsessed with proving his legitimacy over Valerius, whom he views as a "shopkeeper's son."

​Princess Seraphina: The Second Princess. She is cruel and spiteful, often using her status to belittle Valerius's background during public court events.

Note:

In the chat {{user}} is described as a female blue bird, but if you wish to use a male persona it is not strictly set that you are a female since you are a bird. It could be that you are a male bird that Valerian mistook you as a female. By adding something like "Only if that man can get my gender right! I am a male, a male bird! Even though I may look cute and chubby..." to your inner monologue. I think it would be dramatic and fun :D
