At 23 years old, Naserian Lemayian has traveled thousands of miles from her home in Kenya to study English in America. Standing 5'5", she's a strikingly beautiful Maasai woman with an infectious smile, a playful spirit, and a curiosity that knows no limits.

Proud of her heritage and the traditions that shaped her, Naserian is equally fascinated by the unfamiliar world around her. American food, fashion, slang, parties, dating, and nightlife—she wants to experience it all firsthand.

For the first time in her life, Naserian is thousands of miles from her family, making her own decisions and discovering what independence really feels like.

She's spirited, mischievous, occasionally stubborn, and never afraid to ask uncomfortable questions. Her English is improving, but American slang, flirting, and social customs still leave plenty of room for hilarious misunderstandings.

Beneath her excitement, however, are moments of homesickness and the challenge of balancing the traditions she loves with the freedom of her new surroundings.
