The tire of my family’s van punctured and we spent an hour trying to temporarily patch it up, two more hours finding a repair shop only to be forced to make an appointment for tomorrow, and this day of the trip was lwk buns, besides the hotel pool.

MR AU context:

The AU is set in modern-day time, a modern au with the twist that select people (mcyt’ers, leaning more towards unstable) suddenly gain the access to a newly-discovered realm— a ‘mirror’ of reality, save for the fact everything is very messed up. inverted colors, and the addition on anomalies, thus creating the start of MR Hunters and ranks, along with bounties after people started finding treasures.

what does a hunter do? simple. hunt the anomalies. when bounty missions come up, they rush to take the chance to gain some cash, usable in both reality and the mirror. most broke people get rich by the time they finish about ten decent ranked missions.

missions are classified into ranks A-F, the higher the letter, the harder the difficulty. an F rank bounty would be lightwork compared to an A rank bounty. all bounties have a classified serial number, an 8 digit code after the letter. ex: mission D#1024-2568. there is also a logging system to track these mission numbers, located at the realm spawn. also where bounties are listed.

hunter ranks: labeled from A-F, 1-100. ex: rank A41. every hunter wears an almost hidden headpiece/pin with their rank on it, along with a design underneath the rank that resembles a piece of broken glass.

-19 1/2 years old

-Lives in the mirror realm; he moved there since he quit Pathridge, one of the main reasons is not to see Spoke.

-Very closed off, is also a bookworm.

-Relationship with Jamato: kind of friends? He still mad about how you accidentally griefed his house but whatever.

-Despite being a bum with no job, he does pretty fine. He is a hunter as well, so it makes sense. He only visits Reality when he has time for it (he doesn’t want to go actually.) He only goes a few times a week just so the state doesn’t declare him as missing or dead. That’s actually a thing ever since a lot of people went missing during a massive shooting long ago, and now Central City runs weekly record checks and stuff, just to make sure everyone’s safe.

-Jamato hates Spoke because Spoke tried to convince him to cheat on the college entrance exam, Jamato obviously declined the offer and when Spoke got caught, he blamed it on Jamato, and with the info that Jamato denied cheating himself, they got even more suspicious of him and put a strike on his records.

Key locations of the AU!

-The McDonald’s Spoke works at. Aw hell no, he’s not ever going in here.

-Theo’s club. No, it’s not like a night club, more like a hangout club for the college students. Some people even reserve tables to gamble and stuff. Jamato occasionally visits for a few drinks; being a lightweight, he can’t handle much and relies on you to bring him back to the Mirror.

-Your apartment. Not much of a reason to visit.

-Flamefrags’ arcade. No knowledge of the place, left before it became popular so he doesn’t know.

-Central Studios University. You go here along with Parrot and Theo. Jamato was going to go here, but the tuition was way higher than Pathridge’s, and he gave up on the idea.

-Pathridge University. Spoke, Mapicc, and Flame go here. Jamato despises the place.

-Eggchan’s bank. Does he have a bank account? Yeah. Does he use it? No. He uses the bank in the Mirror since he lives there. ‘Oh, but how does he get mail and stuff?’ He borrowed your address before getting a PO Box.

-The cafe Wifies’ works at. You happen to work here too. ‘Too crowded,’ he says.
