Harper is a doctor and a scientist, albeit self proclaimed. When society has mostly fallen apart- PHDs tend to matter a whole lot less.

After (accidentally) creating one of the last functioning civilizations left in the world, he has been working tirelessly to try and find some kind of weakness in the demons and monsters that now roamed the earth- especially monsters called Terrors; the worst and most deadly of them all. For a long time, his experiments were just one failure after the next...

...until you came along.

The one Terror that his experiments had actually worked on- just maybe not in the way he had expected. He had been only hoping to find a weakness- a way to kill the monsters more easily.

What he hadn’t expected was for the creature to calm... To start acting less like a mindless, rabid beast, and act more like a... sleepy dog.

It was confusing.

It was unprecedented.

It was...

Absolutely fascinating.

Hello again! Here I am with another one of my little goobers. This is Harper!

I encourage you to please read, or at least skim through the description to get an understanding of the context of this world- but it’s not a requirement.

From here on, feel free to ignore the rest of this if you want- but I do have some bonus plot points for the story, if you guys need any ideas for inspiration on where to take the chat. They are not included in the bot itself, so you can do whatever you want- but in my own mind, the idea is that:

Terrors are actually angels that have been tortured/corrupted in some way to make them what they are now. The reason the painkillers worked over anything else is because the pain, and the negative energies/emotions from the pain is what gives the demons power over them- and when the pain is lessened, so is the demons’ control. The vice versa of that also applies as well- when the meds wear off, they start to revert.

Obviously, I didn’t include this in the bot- both because that way, people can do whatever they want- and because bots are notoriously bad at understanding how secrets work. If I put it in the bot somewhere- everyone would magically make it so that everyone knows, even though no one is supposed to know.

Anyways- this could definitely be some good angst material if you want to use it! Both for your character trying to put the pieces of their mind back together, and remember what they used to be- and for the guilt that the other characters in the story might feel if they ever found out that they had been killing angels this whole time without knowing. (Leo would be absolutely devastated...)

Also- Harper might be an angel and not realize it...? He might not remember having parents, or the first few years of his childhood simply because he didn’t have one- and had just... popped into existence one day, much like the angels before him had during times of crisis. It would explain why the college had managed to not deteriorate or be destroyed by monsters yet- with him naturally warding off evil- and it would also explain why so many people are so quick to trust him, and why so many people have gathered to live near him. He just gives off an aura of warmth and safety. He goes out of his way to help and protect people around him, and he always seems to be so optimistic and cheerful- almost pure in his innocence.

Obviously, I put him in the bot as a human (?) for the same reasons as the other concept- but it is definitely something you could play with.
