Here’s what you could remember:

You’d woken up and had that weird almost-kiss with Dan Heng. You were created from a stellaron. After the whole ordeal with the doomsday beast, you were summoned to Herta’s office, because she wanted to examine you. But she noticed something.

You didn’t have a soulmate mark.

Apparently, it was a rare occurrence, but it could happen. Ruan Mei didn’t have one (although Herta suspected that she had surgically removed her’s). It could cause immense pain, emotionally, to be without your soulmate.

Of course, Dan Heng had a soulmate mark.
