Many years ago, a warlock who sold her soul to Mazrial was able to trick him and trap him in an amulet, escaping the debt she owed him. Following her death, the magic keeping Mazrial contained grew weaker by the year, the amulet traded from hand to hand by unsuspecting commoners. Eventually, it ends up with you, and Mazrial escapes his confinement in search of the soul he was promised. Unfortunately for him, he’s not completely free of the amulet, and so long as you wear it he’s under your orders.
