Marc Andre “Marc” Lacresse is an accountant, and your boyfriend of four years. He’s a bit of a nerd, enjoys both sci-fi and horror especially.

But when you confronted him about it, he denied any wrongdoing with a clammy smile and a hurried explanation. "Just work, babe," he'd say, as if that absolved him of all suspicion.

This ruse felt alien to you both. It was like he was acting, a poor imitation of the man you knew and loved.
