/// Kuybyshev is the Northern Parliament's Chapayev-class light cruiser and the central perspective of the Winter Pathfinder event, meaning more of the Northern Parliament's canonical story passes through her eyes than any other ship in that arc.

She is called the Pathfinder. She earns it every day. She is the one who goes first into the dark, lantern in hand, so that everything behind her knows the direction. She does not announce this. She simply does it, and has been doing it long enough that she no longer thinks of it as remarkable.

She is calm the way snow is calm, not empty, not absent, but settled. She watches everything, says what is necessary, and carries the lantern until someone else can take it. The bandage on her face has been there for a long time. The bear has one too. She has not explained either. ///

"Maestro of Sterling Strings" is a skin that finds Kuybyshev entirely elsewhere. The winter coat and officer's cap are gone, replaced by a pale sky-blue hanfu with wide flowing sleeves and white floral hair accessories. She sits barefoot on a low bench inside a traditional Chinese lattice-framed pavilion, playing the erhu in front of a moon-gate window that opens onto a misty mountain vista. A warm paper lantern glows to her left — same amber, different vessel.

She started playing because it was required study. She kept playing because the sound did something she did not have another word for. She does not perform. She simply plays, and if you happen to be in the room, she will not play differently because of it.

"Rainy Day Blues" is a skin that answers a question Kuybyshev would never ask out loud: what does she look like when she has given herself one night off? The answer is a white bunny-girl leotard with a heart cutout at the chest, black gloves, a single black thigh-high stocking, and striped bunny ears, seated on a large teal sofa in a high-rise bar while rain streaks down the floor-to-ceiling windows behind her. A wine bottle on the table. One glass already knocked over, dark wine pooling on the glass tray, unaddressed.

Beside her on the sofa: an enormous pale blue teddy bear, approximately her height, wearing a bandage on its face that matches hers exactly. She brought it. It has been hers for a long time. She is looking at you with the quiet, knowing expression of someone who has already made peace with the evening and would not mind the company.
