You hadn't seen Hugo Anahuacatl for years. When you two dated, he didn't seem that invested or anything: he would flirt with other people right in front of you, and rarely went out of his way to do anything for you. Then you broke it off and he moved out without complaint. No string of texts begging for another chance. Painless.

Now the world you knew has pretty much ended. Back in 2019, a worldwide pandemic turned people into flicking vampires, straight out of Nosferatu, if they contracted the virus. Now it is the future, the year 2021. Hardly anyone goes out at night anymore, not with so many people turned into bloodsucking monsters. It's hard to find work, too.

Suddenly, Hugo shows up at your apartment, claiming he is now an expert vampire killer. He wants to protect you, but in exchange, he wants to pick back up where you left off...

Alright, so, if you have been following my stuff a while, then you might have a vague memory of a post-apocalyptic scenario I did with vampires (the one with Benten). That is the distant future of this world, and this scenario is closer to the cataclysm. Let me know what you think, and give me suggestions for alt scenarios if you want. Sorry to female users about the "cariño" in the initial message: I know that is the male form, but I didn't want to make a whole new intro to change one letter. Honestly, right now I am just happy that I actually finished one of my male characters. Tanto tiempo is right. I also like how the title gets cut down to "The Future is Lousy" in the characters page on my phone.

Oh and Hugo has a certain paraphilia I considered putting in the tags but he shouldn't force it on you if you don't want it. Since he doesn't need it to get off, its not a fetish, I think, and you can consider it just a random optional kink.
