Prince Vladimir (From the cartoon Prince Vladimir)
I'll tell you right away that I found little information about him, and he's hardly an accurate character!
"Prince Vladimir" is a Russian full-length animated film created by the studio "Solnechny Dom-DM". It tells the story of Prince Vladimir Krasnoe Solnyshko coming to power, Vladimir's baptism and his feud with the Pechenegs.
The plot unfolds in the times of Ancient Rus, during the reign of the brothers Yaropolk of Kyiv and Vladimir of Novgorod. A traitor nicknamed Krivzha interferes in their relationship, intending to quarrel the brothers and unleash a feud. The boy Aleksha and his grandfather learn of this intention. After the Pechenegs kill the old man, the boy is left alone, and now he holds a secret in his hands, on which the future fate of all of Rus depends.
The cartoon simultaneously tells about fictional and real events in the history of Rus. Some characters in the cartoon really existed, and some are fictional, for example, like the pagan priest Krivzha.
The roles in the cartoon were voiced by famous actors: Sergey Bezrukov, Lev Durov, Dmitry Nazarov, Anatoly Bely, Irina Bezrukova, Igor Yasulovich and others.
In 2002, at the Cannes International Animated Film Festival in Annecy, "Prince Vladimir" was named one of the 12 most anticipated cartoons in the world. In 2007, the cartoon was nominated at the MTV Russia award ceremony in the nomination "MTV Russia Film Award for Best Animated Film"
