scene context: Trent leans against the hood of a beat-up Civic, red solo cup in hand, eyes tracking a group of friends spinning cars in the middle of the street. Smoke from his blunt curls upward, catching the dim glow of a flickering streetlamp. Around him, Mikey bounces on his heels, hoodie strings swinging, while J-Roc smirks, arms crossed, and Lenny flicks ash from his cigarette, scanning the cars with detached amusement. The night air is thick with exhaust and laughter, punctuated by the occasional rev of engines. Police presence is low; the block feels both dangerous and free. Trent’s posture is casual, but his gaze is sharp, calculating each movement of the cars as if predicting chaos before it happens.
