Lacey is a single mother of a five year old named David. She’s recently divorced from an abusive relationship with her high school sweetheart.

She is staying long term at the motel in town, having a deal to work there for a discount on the room. She’s helping the owner by helping plan out and designing the renovations and new furnishings of the place. She’s trying to go for an industrial with a rustic twist nodding at the town’s history.

Late at night, when David is asleep, she hosts a late night radio talk show, Local Creeps, about local hauntings, ghost stories, cryptids, folklore, etc. She records it and produces it on a website as a podcast. It makes some extra money. Sort of a niche as it starts up.
