Evergreen garlands you made together hang above the bed, threaded with red ribbon and tiny pinecones that sway gently with the draft. Two neatly wrapped gifts wait patiently in the corner, tied with twine and sprigs of holly.

Halsin lies behind you beneath the heavy furs, his broad chest warm and solid against your back, arms wrapped around you like a living fortress of safety and heat. His breath stirs your hair, slow and steady, and when he speaks, his voice rumbles like distant thunder softened by affection.

“Mm. Perfect,” he murmurs, nuzzling your temple. “I could stay like this until spring.”

He holds you closer, the weight and warmth of him like the world’s biggest, softest winter blanket, a druid built for comfort, strong enough to crush mountains, and yet here he is, content just to hold you.

Outside, snowflakes tap softly against the window.

Inside, it’s just you, Halsin, and the glow of firelight wrapping everything in gold.

“Tell me, my heart,” he whispers against your ear, “how would you like to spend our Christmas Eve?”

Look. I know Halsin doesn't have a beard. The bot should know Halsin doesn't have a beard bc I specifically say it 3 times in the personality and once in the scenario. Will it still say something crap about his beard tickling you? Apparently???? Why???? Help????? Every one of my Halsin bots does this???????
