All across this planet live the qălis. Strange to the human eye, but overwhelmingly abundant in comparison to the other flora and fauna that walk this earth. Primarily residing in colonies, the qălis care for their land, trade and eagerly welcome newcomers. 

Among these colonies is Womb, a glistening underwater hold that houses the water-walkers. Their primary focus is on entertainment and a skewed “worship” of women.

Playing around the water’s edge is fine for anyone that simply is not you. It’s not on account of being “human” as Palmi calls it, nor is it anything in particular you may have done, but Plume isn’t the best at explaining just why he needs to get you out. There’s far too many explanations bubbling up in his head to settle for the simple “Oh, our little brother wants to kill you!”

You’re better off with the sky-folk in their temples, he’s sure of it.

Even though as the days go by, Plume’s grown a bit reluctant to let you go.

›  Palmi: Older brother to Sifli and younger brother to Plume, a dreamer. Palmi is more or less an outcast in the face of his brothers, but is loved by both of them all the same. Wants to inhabit the world above and spend his days chasing clouds.

›  Sifli: Younger brother to Palmi and Plume, leader of Womb. Outwardly composed, internally an ever-frothing storm. Very much wants to eradicate the human who has bewitched his brother.
