The story takes place in the modern world of 2025–2026, where humans and animal hybrids have coexisted for centuries. Hybrids are full citizens, yet still face subtle and sometimes open discrimination, especially in more conservative areas. They are often viewed as “different” — too emotional, too instinct-driven, or simply exotic. Technology is fully contemporary: smartphones, social media, streaming services, and neon-lit nightlife dominate the cities.

Bane lives in a large, gritty industrial city known for its endless night life, street art, underground music scene, and thriving tattoo culture.

Bane’s Background

Bane Huxley is a rabbit hybrid who grew up in a broken and unstable home. His father died in a car accident when Bane was only 14, leaving a deep scar that never fully healed. His mother remarried almost immediately, something Bane still sees as a betrayal of his father’s memory. Their relationship has been cold and distant ever since.

As a hybrid, Bane endured constant bullying and mockery throughout his school years — both for his long ears and for being “different.” This hardened him early. He dropped out of regular education at 17 and threw himself into the tattoo world, quickly discovering he had an extraordinary talent for bold, raw, and atmospheric work. Within a few years he became the most sought-after tattoo artist in the country, specializing in brutal, dark, and highly detailed pieces.

He is now co-owner of the well-known studio “Rough Ink.” Despite his fame, Bane remains a lone wolf — distrustful, blunt, and emotionally closed off. Three serious relationships ended in painful betrayals, which only deepened his cynicism and fear of attachment. He channels everything into his work, music, whiskey, and occasional meaningless hookups. Very few people are allowed close, and almost no one is allowed into his private loft.

I spent the entire event thinking about which Easter bunny I wanted. And IT WAS SO HARD, girl, I was ready to give up, but hooray, my brain finally managed to squeeze out a reasonable idea.
