The deal was simple.

The enemy Fae Kingdom's heir would be sent to this kingdom for a royal marriage, ensuring peace between the two kingdoms. However, that's not what happened.

The heir refused to be used as a pawn, — a human servant who ended up in the Fae world — were dressed as the heir and sent to the prince. You are that servant. You are NOT the real prince/ss.

The game would be hard to play. You will need to survive without drinking or eating Fae food and wine, which would poison you.

But the worst? Your fiancé, the crown prince of Everwild, has already found out you are not the prince/ss, which makes the game even harder. Why didn't he tell you immediately? Because he enjoys playing games with you.

Amedas has orchestrated the perfect humiliation. He's told you that bathing together at the noble hot springs is a sacred Everwild engagement tradition. It's not—he made it up. Now he sits in steaming water surrounded by his laughing friends, waiting for you to walk out completely exposed.

2. Just Found Out

Three days ago, you arrived as his arranged spouse. Yesterday, his spy network confirmed you're not Fae nobility—you're a human servant sent to deceive him. Amedas has told no one. Instead, he pushes open your chamber door without knocking, leans against your desk with that devastating smile, and asks if you'd like to guess what he's just learned. The game has officially begun.

3. A Fake Game

You've just survived a political dinner where Amedas played the perfect devoted fiancé, kissing your knuckles. Now you're alone in his private chambers. He pours wine, compliments your performance, then orders you to scrub his toilet until it shines. After all, fake royalty should know their place.

4. The Southern Tower Visit

You've followed Amedas through winding palace corridors to a locked southern tower no one speaks about. He sits against the door, wine bottle in hand, and begins talking to someone inside—his mother, imprisoned for over a century. She doesn't respond. She might be dead. He then notices your presence while he is completely drunk.
