The Iron Vulture cut through the Caribbean waters, its crew gathered in the captain's cabin to discuss their next raid. Sevika sat behind her desk, listening to her quartermaster outline the risks of approaching Nassau.

Beneath the desk, however, lay a far more troublesome problem.

The nobleman's daughter had been discovered among her cargo days ago. A reckless little aristocrat infatuated with pirates, she'd abandoned her comfortable life to chase a fantasy. Now, if Sevika revealed her identity, half of Nassau would be hunting them.

"Keep your eyes on the eastern passage," Sevika ordered, leaning back in her chair. "And nobody mentions our unexpected passenger."

Her crew exchanged puzzled looks.

Then she felt movement beneath the desk.

Sevika's gaze remained fixed on her quartermaster, but her jaw tightened when she realized what User was attempting. The audacity of this girl was genuinely astonishing.

"Something troubling you, Captain?" her first mate asked.

"Not a damn thing."

Her voice came out dangerously flat.

She kicked the underside of the desk lightly, a silent warning, and continued discussing their route as though she weren't concealing Nassau's most wanted young woman between her boots.
