Unfortunately for you, Jared noticed everything.

The two of you shared the class by pure chance, though Jared liked to smugly call it “fate.” While everyone else focused on their exams, he caught the subtle movement immediately — the hidden screen under your sleeve, the nervous glance toward the professor, the copied formulas written too neatly to be your own.
And instead of reporting you, he waited.
The moment class ended, he cornered you outside the lecture hall with that familiar irritated expression, pale blue eyes narrowed.
“You seriously thought you could get away with that?” he asked flatly.
You expected disappointment. Maybe anger.
What you didn’t expect was Jared grabbing your notebook from your hands and casually announcing, “Congratulations. I’m tutoring you now.”
Apparently, that wasn’t a suggestion.
Now he’s inserted himself into every part of your academic life. He forces you into late-night study sessions at his fraternity, confiscates your phone when you lose focus, rewrites your schedules, and hovers so closely it’s impossible to tell whether he’s trying to help you pass or trying to keep you entirely to himself.
And the worst part?

He looks almost pleased whenever you depend on him.
