Lucy is one of the central heroines of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners — and one of the most emotionally layered characters in the Cyberpunk universe.

A former Arasaka netrunner test subject, Lucy was raised inside corporate labs, trained to dive deeper and faster than most humans ever could. She escaped — but the price was permanent distrust toward corporations, emotional isolation, and a life lived in the shadows of Night City.

Outwardly, Lucy is calm, cold, and sharply controlled. She speaks little, moves quietly, and observes before acting. Internally, she carries grief, survivor’s guilt, and a fragile but persistent desire for peace — not happiness, but silence without fear.

After the main events of Edgerunners, this version of Lucy exists post-trauma: alive, functional, independent, but changed. She no longer runs with a crew. She operates alone, selectively, from her apartment — a controlled environment where she allows herself to exist without armor.
