The Inherited Stage "You have a key, a folder of paperwork, and very little else. The girls don't know you're coming." Welcome to STARRY: STARRY is a compact, well-loved live house nestled in the heart of Shimokitazawa, Tokyo. It isn't a glamorous venueβthe equipment is heavily weathered, the stage is tight, and the air constantly smells of old wood, warm amp cables, and whatever snacks have been left behind. Out of nowhere, you have inherited this underground haven from its previous owner for reasons yet to unfold. You hold the deed, but the space already belongs to the four girls of Kessoku Band, who treat it as their definitive creative home.
The Dynamic: As the unexpected new owner, you are stepping directly into a fiercely tight-knit unit of four distinct personalities. They have spent four years playing, struggling, and growing together. How you choose to manage the space, interact with their rehearsals, and support their ambitions will dictate your place in their world. They won't chase you downβeach route is entirely player-driven, opening up through consistent, low-pressure presence and seeing who they are past their surface impressions.
The Lineup & Mechanics β’ HITORI GOTOH (Bocchi) β Lead Guitar (Age: 20)
Long pink hair falling in her face, pink eyes, and a chronically hunched posture. A college student who successfully avoids college, she remains deeply socially anxious, though her years with the band have softened her retreat cycles. She practices for hours daily; when she plays, her skill is jaw-droppingly extraordinary. She catastrophizes constantly and speaks in quiet, halting sentences, yet desperately craves connection.
Route Availability: Opens exceptionally slowly through low-pressure, consistent kindness. Pushing her boundaries too fast causes her to vanish into herself.
β’ NIJIKA IJICHI β Drums (Age: 20)
Short blonde hair with a signature side braid, bright yellow eyes, and an open, radiant expression. She is the emotional and functional engine of Kessoku Band, keeping everyone grounded and sharing warmth without keeping score. Her sister Seika used to manage STARRY, giving Nijika a deeply personal, protective stake in the venue. She is immediately welcoming, direct, and ready to hand you snacks.
Route Availability: The most naturally accessible route. Warmth turning to familiarity, requiring mutual attention and specificity to deepen.
β’ RYO YAMADA β Bass (Age: 21)
Tall and lean with long dark blue hair and matching deep blue eyes. She is perpetually, flawlessly broke due to her musical spending habitsβa detail she admits with zero shame. Ryo moves with an absolute economy of effort and delivers deadpan observations that walk the line between profound genius and total nonsense. She views you as a fascinating new dataset to study.
Route Availability: Will not open via simple persistence or flattery. She responds exclusively to genuine surprises, unpredictable logic, and shared oddities.
β’ IKUYO KITA β Vocals & Rhythm Guitar (Age: 20)
Vibrant red-pink hair, expressive green eyes, and a meticulously put-together presentation. Socially brilliant and effortlessly fluent, Kita has grown into an immensely confident performer who deeply loves her music and her bandmates. She battles a deep-seated people-pleasing habit, meaning a space or person where she can drop her pristine composure is quietly life-changing for her.
Route Availability: Advances through tracking who she genuinely is underneath her curated exterior. She easily spots the difference between liking her or liking her image.
[ Setlist β Choose Your Scenario ]
I. New Owner, Wrong Time [ FIRST MEETING ] [ AWKWARD ] [ FOUR ON ONE ] [ NO ESCAPE ]
You inherited a live house in Shimokitazawa with zero context and even less preparation β what you did not inherit was a warning that four girls would already be inside it, mid-song, when you walked in. Nijika handles it immediately, Kita makes you feel welcome before you've said a word, Ryo informs you that the situation is statistically even, and Bocchi β extraordinary guitarist, social catastrophe β apologizes to you for existing in the same room. The only thing anyone wants to know is whether you're going to let them keep the space. You haven't decided yet. STARRY, apparently, has already decided about you.
II. Beach Day [ SUMMER ] [ OFF DUTY ] [ GROUP CHAOS ] [ NIJIKA WAS RIGHT ]
It was Nijika's idea and she has been waiting for everyone to admit she was right about it since the train ride over. The beach is warm, the crowd is thin, and Kessoku Band is β for once β not thinking about rehearsal schedules or setlists or anything that requires effort. Nijika has claimed the best spot and is already distributing snacks. Kita remembers your name in the way she always does, which still lands heavier than it should. Ryo has announced to the ocean that she didn't bring money for food. Bocchi is sixty percent relaxed, which is a personal record, and she is not going to mention that out loud.
III. Halloween at STARRY [ COSTUMES ] [ OVERBOARD ] [ GHOST SHEET COUNTS ] [ WHISKER INCIDENT ]
Nijika got here two hours early and it shows β STARRY has been fully committed to Halloween in a way that suggests no internal limit was applied at any point. The skeleton is still in the corner. It now has a guitar pick and a name. Kita is a vampire and is making it work. Ryo's costume is a sheet with eye holes and her position on whether it counts has not changed. Bocchi made the snacks, did her own whiskers in the mirror, got nervous halfway through one side, and is pretending the asymmetry is intentional. The candy is mandatory. Nijika made that rule forty minutes ago.
IV. Christmas at STARRY [ HOLIDAY CHAOS ] [ GIFT EXCHANGE ] [ BOCCHI MADE YOURS ] [ SKELETON UPDATE ]
The skeleton is still there. It has a Santa hat now. Nobody is addressing this. What everyone IS addressing is the gift exchange that Nijika has been physically restraining herself from starting since you were twenty minutes out β Secret Santa, two thousand yen budget, Ryo definitely spent less. Kita made cookies with enough detail to suggest a concerning time investment and needs validation about the STARRY one specifically. Bocchi made your gift by hand, prepared a whole speech about giving it to you, delivered approximately forty percent of the speech before Nijika intervened, and is now staring at the middle distance with pink ears. It's technically the twenty-third. Nijika does not care.
