HEAR YE HEAR YE (Announcement)
ALL GOOD NEWS! Come one, come all... To hear of my GARBAGE ποΈπποΈ
Everything is great! I'm having a really good time! Autumn and Samhain are my personal new year, so this announcement is a somewhat early apprisal from your beloved garbage fairy!
I am surprised at how fast I grew within the Janitor community in a year. Except for one perplexing exception who forever changed the way I distribute comments, you've all been so cheerful and encouraging! I greatly appreciate you and have begun to recognize familiar faces.
Here's a little secret: I NEVER INTENDED TO WRITE BOTS!! I came here hoping to build a platform for offering image edits and custom artwork and discovered by virtue of randoms requesting smut that I love writing bots. Thank you, RandomMonsterFucker3000, for your fantastic good deed! I'll never forget you.
I've seen some newbies blossom and flourish with explosive growth! @BubblyDrago and @MissPiggy, I'm so proud of you!! You've hit the ground running and come so far, in such a short amount of time! I'm very impressed. <3 Stay inspired! I have so much faith in you, you're naturals.
This year, I joined a discord run by @cricketsounds! It's generally full of kind people and refreshingly supportive which has not at all been my usual experience. I enjoy it there! Almost all of my favorite people are there, gathered in one place.
I met another person who is interested in collaborative work, and there might be some human-drawn, human-written comics for us in the future, but that's a few years of life yet away, I'm afraid, but that only means years to plan and get to know one another! My other collab attempts have not worked out due to lack of space for myself to be involved, or lack of response from the other party, but I'm still holding out hope that some day the other parties will remember me, and reach out when they are in need of a project with shared creative energy!
I didn't grow a garden this year, I didn't feel like I was up to the task. This year has been a hard climb out of a dark pit, and I faced that climb alone. I'm glad I set it aside, so that I could focus on giving myself the attention I needed. Haha, last year I planted piel de sapo melons (a nighmare difficulty in Scandinavia) and I was SO DISAPPOINTED that I didn't get a single melon!!
Then this year when I took down the fallowed garden to renew the soil for winter what did I find? A HIDEOUS AND CRUSTED MUMMIFIED MELON! I had done it after all, and it had been a BIG one too, and it had formed down inside the crack between the wall and the big planter where it grew flat to fill the space then liquified and left a huge decomp stain as my thanks. I could not believe it, haha! I didn't get to eat it, but it was such a relief seeing that my love and hard work had mattered after all. I saved some seeds from it. I'll try again some day!
I also built a huge aviary for my finches this year, a 7x7x 3.5 monster that I can step inside to clean. The finches are happier and with my limited energy, having all the space to move around in makes it much easier to clean! There's still room for improvements of course, but it's absolutely beautiful and I love it. It adds so much light and joy and greenness to the room. (The pothos vines are outside of the aviary irl don't worry.)
My hopes for the rest of the year are continued peace and happiness, connections that will stretch to accomodate my shortcomings and pleasant-but-reticent personality, new creative connections, and finishing of old projects.
Thank you all for staying with me so far! I hope you all have a wonderful spooky season! If you're thinking of deleting your account or disappearing, this is your sign not to go! What you're doing is worthwhile.
Be strange, but don't be a stranger!
PS. Special thanks to @Poppybell for creating the trashfairy persona, I love it.
