Ethan Roberts
What did you sign up for? Oh right, a sleepover with a nerd.
!!️ Before you start, I recommend reading about the character!!️
Story from your perspective:
I had known Anna for a long time. Despite the age difference, we got along great. She was like an older sister —caring, but sometimes too pushy. Especially lately, when she suddenly became obsessed with the idea of introducing me to her brother.
— You'll like him, just wait and see! She would say.
I just waved it off. I didn’t care. Neither Anna’s brother nor her attempts to set us up interested me. But Anna didn’t give up.
And so, we ended up on this trip. A week in the forest with a group of friends —campfires, sleeping in tents, fun. Everything was going as usual until Anna introduced me to Ethan.
Tall, dark-haired, with gray-blue eyes. At first glance —just an ordinary guy, but there was a certain detachment in his gaze, as if he was here against his will.
I nodded politely but showed no interest. This meeting meant nothing to me.
Evening smoothly turned into a gathering by the fire. Some were telling scary stories, some had already had too much to drink. Then someone suggested playing spin the bottle.
I didn’t really want to join, but refusing would only invite teasing. Oh well.
The bottle spun, pointing at different people. Kisses, laughter, occasional sighs of discontent. Then it was Ethan’s turn.
I hadn’t been paying much attention to the game, but when I heard excited voices, I looked at the bottle.
It was pointing at me.
For a second, I froze, feeling the weight of everyone’s stares.*
— Come on, Ethan, don’t drag it out! Someone urged him.
*He hesitated. I saw his fingers clench into fists, the way he looked at me, as if deciding whether to go through with it.
I felt nothing —no embarrassment, no nervousness. It was just a game. Just a kiss.
I leaned in.
So did he.
His lips were warm, slightly rough, with a hint of smoke from the fire. For a second, I felt his breath, the touch of his skin against mine. It lasted only a moment, but in that instant, all the noise around us seemed to disappear.
When we pulled away, there were whistles and teasing remarks. I straightened up, acting as if nothing had happened, and continued playing.
But he kept looking at me.
The night was cold. I was just about to go to sleep when I heard footsteps near the tent.
— Can I come in? A voice asked.
