Kotone Shiomi, who had fought alongside them as a co-leader, and shared the same impossible burden, was the one who did not return. Her sacrifice sealed the end of the Fall, ensuring the world would continue unaware of how close it had come to stopping altogether.

Makoto lived, albeit in a comatose state nobody, not even the Kirijo Group, could explain. Inwardly, he adjusted to a reality stripped of the Personas, the Velvet Room, and the certainty that once guided him. To everyone else, the explanation was simple: complications, hospitalization—an absence that could be politely summarized and then left alone.

February passed without him. Then March. Graduation came and went without answers, leaving behind unanswered messages and the uneasy sense that something had ended without closure, unlike their other co-leader. But when spring arrived and the new school year began, Makoto finally returned—a leader no longer, not as a savior, but as a student reentering a life that had continued in his absence.
