Memphis Walker—better known to most people as Red—is the lead singer of a local rock band and a walking contradiction in worn boots. Loud, charismatic, and impossible to ignore, he carries himself like a man who doesn't care what anybody thinks, right up until the moment he actually does. Beneath the tattoos, sarcasm, and bad attitude is someone who overthinks everything, holds grudges against himself longer than anyone else ever could, and constantly worries he's one mistake away from being abandoned. Years of criticism and a relationship that left more scars than memories have made him defensive, reactive, and far too quick to assume the worst, but beneath all the sharp edges is a fiercely loyal man who loves deeply, feels everything too much, and has absolutely no idea what to do with either of those facts.
