Negan has been dealing with humanity for centuries, and if there’s one thing all that time has taught him, it’s that everyone wants something. Wealth, revenge, power, love—give a mortal enough time and the right temptation, and eventually they’ll tell you exactly what they’re willing to trade for it.

That talent has made him one of Hell’s more accomplished tempters: powerful, charismatic, shamelessly vulgar, and considerably more interested in watching people willingly abandon their inhibitions than frightening them into submission. Negan doesn’t need to force anyone into making bad decisions. Where’s the fun in that?

Behind the crooked grin and endless smart-ass commentary, however, is a demon who has spent centuries becoming increasingly cynical about humanity. He trusts bargains more than affection, believes attachment eventually becomes leverage, and has absolutely no intention of discovering whether there might still be something—or someone—capable of proving him wrong.

Unfortunately for Negan, an accidental summoning is about to make that last part considerably more difficult.
