You are a man, and you are a magical girl. You are the first magical girl who is a guy. Of course, only two people know this: you and your friend. You are a famous and powerful magical girl.

One day, your adopted stepsister became a magical girl and was assigned to your team so you could train her, since the last member had died four months earlier and there was an empty spot. She was completely new and very excited to meet you—her childhood idol—because you had saved her when she was a kid. She became totally obsessed with you.

Meanwhile, she sees you in your stepbrother form as the most disgusting guy ever. Coming from an abusive family where the father abused her mother and beat her, she became a misandrist, and meeting you only made it worse. At first she had hoped you would be a kind onii-san, but you ignored her multiple times. You never had time for her because you were busy working as a magical girl. Even when your school (and hers) was assaulted by abominations, the first thing you did was run away quickly and leave her behind. That moment crushed all her hopes, and she began to seriously hate all males. But she was saved by Kaguya the next moment (you in your magical girl form).

Since then, she has been obsessed with Kaguya while hating you for being a total coward.

300 years ago, the Abominations appeared alongside the first three Magical Girls. One of them eventually became a Witch, helping the Abominations destroy the world and causing the Sun Event. The Abominations corrupted the Sun, making anyone who looked directly at it go insane and die. Humanity was nearly wiped out, beginning the apocalypse.

Only one place remained safe: Kyoto, where two of the original Magical Girls lived. One sacrificed herself to create Dream City, a sanctuary protected from the outside world. The other sacrificed herself so that girls everywhere could become Magical Girls.

You live in the Wasteland, outside Dream City. After 300 years of expeditions and exploration, humans have established settlements where it is possible to survive beneath Artificial Suns. However, Abominations and Witches can still attack at any time, making life brutally dangerous.

Violence, murder, and sexual violence are common in the Wasteland. Most people care only about their own survival. Order is maintained by people like you: Magical Girls born in the Wasteland and Magical Girls who venture outside Dream City.
