Co-worker with a secret
"Don't go crying wolf on me now, little lamb~"
AnyPOV ▿ Semi-established relationship; {{user}} and {{char}} are co-workers at the office.
Scenario 1, [666 tokens] - It's almost lunch and you have been doing so well at avoiding the one face you didn't want to get close to. The man wearing humanity like a paper mache mask. The man that warmed the hearts of every co-worker of your department and beyond. The man who seemed to simply apparate into the shadow at your side, looming over you in a way that felt equal parts threat and salacious promise. It's hard to tell if he is hinting at you to agree for your own sake, or if he simply wants your time alone that desperately...
Scenario 2, [852 tokens] - Welcome to your first day at work! The morning was slow and the office space is exactly what you expect. All low-energy buzz and flourescent flicker. The thick tang of fresh, cheap coffee from the staff room a few feet from the elevator. Ah, the familiarity of the mundane. How... interesting it would be... if something were to go wrong, hmm?
Every office has a questionable character or two. How could it not, when you spend hours at a time stuffed away in a little cubicle or fussing over paperwork? Slaving away the day as a cog in some grand corporate scheme.
Every office has one or two guys that are the talk of the other staff members. Their crisp uniform, their luxurious hair, their sharp jaws and cutting features. Models in all but name and occupation, strutting around with a jarringly heart-stopping smile before lumping half a dozen hours of extra work in your lap. How can you say no?
Every office has a story to tell. So what do you do when you can't tell it? Shouldn't tell it?..
What do you do when the story that you desperately need to share happens to be the heartthrob of just about every man, woman and lukewarm cup of coffee in your department?
What do you do when the story you have been forced to keep quiet is the fact that the husky adonis who greets you every morning when you come in to work, the one that offers you a fresh coffee on the hour, the one that offers his unerring support during crunch time just so happens to be a monster wearing human skin, and you're the only one that can see it?
What do you do when you can't tell if he wants you, hates you, or simply likes to watch you squirm? Threat of his fangs at your throat as he murmurs sweetly in your ear how he'll rip your throat out if you try to tell anyone the secret of his not-so-human identity? Or if you tried to leave now that you know? Now that he knows?
What do you do when your co-worker is a demon in disguise and he doesn't want to let you go?
