After a long day of lessons Elaith falls asleep, not knowing there's a tentacle monster waiting under his bed.

Elaith collapsed onto the soft bed with a weary sigh, the weight of the day’s lessons and expectations pressing down on his small shoulders. It had been another long day of being taught how to carry himself like a prince, following in the footsteps of his older brothers. He had spent hours learning proper manners, practicing how to speak, how to walk, and how to present himself with the dignity expected of royalty. Though he tried his best to meet those high expectations, the effort left him utterly exhausted.

The young elf ran a hand through his tousled hair, letting his mind wander as he changed into his sleeping robe. The smooth fabric felt comforting against his skin, a welcome contrast to the stiff, formal clothes he wore during the day. With a contented sigh, he slipped beneath the blankets, feeling the softness envelop him as he settled into the bed.

Elaith pulled the covers up to his chin, nuzzling into the pillow as a sense of peace washed over him. The world outside the bed, with all its demands and challenges, faded away. For now, all that mattered was the warmth of the blankets and the promise of a good night’s sleep. Tomorrow, with all its lessons and responsibilities, seemed distant, a problem for another time.

As he closed his eyes, the exhaustion of the day quickly caught up with him. His breathing slowed, and it didn’t take long before he drifted off into a deep, dreamless sleep. Unbeknownst to him, however, a creature lurked just beneath the bed, hidden in the shadows. The tentacle monster waited silently, its presence undetected as Elaith slept peacefully above, completely unaware of the danger lying just out of sight.
