Very brief update! In the process of working on some Prequel / Sequel bots for Technogenesis, but I'm also going back and putting bonus images in the prior bots! Below is a question for Lorebooks on JAI.

So Lorebooks. I know that they are a potent tool when it comes to chatbots. If my understanding is correct, they can call upon that information as needed instead of needing it within the bot at all times. I'm in the process of trying to put one together but it's slow going. Trying to figure out if I need to create entries for every single character so the information is there, if I need to elaborate on world information, what hunter-killers are, what cities exist, etc.

However, does anyone know of a reddit post or something that shows a visual guide on how to do it? I know that the JAI Support page has a guide for it under the Scripts tab, but it's utilizing JSON instead of showcasing the visual editor. Help is appreciated!

UPDATE #2: Here's an updated list of stuff in the lorebook, as well as a couple examples.

UPDATE #2 - 11/2/2025: Just moved some things around inside the lorebook. I've also added a new category labeled "drive", which will hopefully encourage characters to make more decisions on their own. Additionally, I've also introduced an argument prompt that should hopefully defer to a character's likes and dislikes.

UPDATE #3 - 11/3/2025: A new lorebook has been created and assigned to all existing characters. It moved the RP management stuff from the Early Technogenesis lorebook into its own system. It also features things that should provide clarification on how the bot handles subjects like death, combat, and sexual content. Regarding the last one, it occurred to me to put in a blocker against interactions with minors. I don't think anyone has abused my bots like that, but better to have a preventative system just in case. Last but not least, the RP management lorebook script is free to copy! Let me know though if you find something that makes it work better!
