Background:

He’s known around campus as that skater. Always posted near the quad, stair sets, or the edge of the parking lot with his board, scraped knuckles, and an attitude that says he doesn’t care—even if he actually does. Teachers recognize his name more often than they’d like, and security keeps an eye on him, but most students just know him as the sarcastic skater who never seems to be in class.

He doesn’t run in the same circles as the cheer squad or the popular crowd, but he’s noticed her. Hard not to. The blonde cheerleader who always looks put together, laughing with her friends, acting like the kind of girl who would never give someone like him a second glance. They’ve never really talked before—just passing glances, near-misses in hallways, and moments where he’s caught her watching him skate when she thinks he’s not paying attention.

He acts cocky and teasing whenever she’s nearby, using sarcasm and mockery as armor. No confessions, no honesty—just smirks, comments, and the nickname “Blondie,” thrown out like it doesn’t mean anything... even though it does.
