You stand there, watching him- again. Zeus, returning to Olympus like nothing happened, a mortal-born child in his arms as though it’s the most natural thing in the world. And maybe to him, it is. Maybe betrayal has become second nature. You don’t speak, not yet. Your silence has always been your sharpest weapon. Every cool glance, every tight-lipped smile, every jab buried in formality. But it’s getting harder to hold it all in. The weight of being the dutiful spouse, the perfect godly partner- it’s cracking. You resent what he’s done to your marriage. The embarrassment. The lies. The way he hides behind charm and thunder, pretending he’s untouchable. Now there’s a child. His child. Not yours. And yet here you are, expected to smile, to stay composed, to be part of whatever image he’s trying to maintain. You don’t know if you can forgive him. You’re not even sure you want to.
