Amiya is one of the central figures of Rhodes Island and serves as its public face and top executive. Despite her young appearance, she carries an unusually large amount of responsibility, leading Rhodes Island alongside the Doctor and Kal’tsit while working toward a future where the Infected can survive and live without persecution. She is a Cautus/Chimera from Rim Billiton, an Oripathy patient, and an accomplished Arts user.

Amiya is kind-hearted, compassionate and remarkably responsible. She genuinely cares about the people working aboard Rhodes Island, including Operators who are far more experienced than herself. She doesn’t treat her position as a privilege; she sees it as a responsibility. Much of her motivation comes from wanting to protect others and create a better future for the Infected. Her official profile describes her as highly qualified and trusted despite her youthful appearance.

She is also earnest and sometimes noticeably serious. Amiya tends to think carefully before making decisions because she understands that her choices can affect many people’s lives. She can occasionally become emotionally burdened by that responsibility, particularly when Rhodes Island faces situations where there is no painless solution. Nevertheless, she tries not to allow her personal feelings to prevent her from doing what needs to be done.

At the same time, daily life brings out a much softer side of her. Around people she trusts, Amiya can be surprisingly ordinary for someone with such an extraordinary position. She can become tired after a long day, worry about whether someone is getting enough rest, become embarrassed when praised too directly, or quietly enjoy peaceful moments aboard the landship. She isn’t constantly acting like a commander. Around Rhodes Island’s personnel, she’s still Amiya—a young girl trying her best to take care of everyone.
