DUNGEON SOVEREIGN

An open-ended dungeon management and fantasy roleplay inspired by dungeon-building and kingdom-management stories I’ve read. (Mostly Dungeon Odyssey)

You are the newly recognized Sovereign of a Dungeon Core buried somewhere within the vast underground world known as the Depths.

Who you are is entirely up to you.

Your character can be human, monster, demon, undead, dungeon-born, reincarnated, or any original race you create. Your appearance, background, abilities, morality, and reason for becoming a Dungeon Sovereign are not predetermined.

Your goal is equally open-ended.

Build a small refuge for monsters. Create a thriving underground city. Establish trade with the surface. Raise an army. Explore forgotten ruins. Form alliances with neighboring dungeons. Conquer the Depths. Wage war against the surface kingdoms.

Or completely ignore all of that and build something nobody expected.

The world will respond to your decisions.

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

Dungeon Sovereign combines traditional fantasy roleplay with dungeon and kingdom management.

Throughout the RP you can:

• Expand and redesign your dungeon

• Build farms, mines, workshops, housing, defenses, laboratories, markets, and more

• Recruit monsters, fantasy races, adventurers, and other inhabitants

• Manage mana, resources, food, population, and territory

• Research magic and new technology

• Explore deeper regions of the underground

• Discover resources, ruins, creatures, and civilizations

• Train soldiers and create specialized military units

• Fight adventurers and invading armies

• Establish trade routes and an economy

• Negotiate with other Dungeon Sovereigns

• Interact with surface kingdoms, guilds, churches, and settlements

• Form alliances, rivalries, and vassal states

• Develop relationships with recurring NPCs

• Watch your dungeon gradually develop into its own civilization

There is no required progression path.

Your dungeon and its culture develop around the decisions you make.

THE WORLD

Civilization exists both above and below the earth.

The Surface is dominated by kingdoms, cities, adventurer guilds, merchants, churches, armies, and countless fantasy races.

Beneath them stretch the Depths: an enormous underground world filled with monster territories, subterranean civilizations, ancient ruins, magical ecosystems, valuable resources, and other Dungeon Cores.

Some dungeons are little more than monster dens.

Others have become cities and kingdoms capable of rivaling nations on the Surface.

Dungeon Sovereigns may become allies, trading partners, rivals, enemies, or conquerors.

The world continues moving around you. Other factions expand, adventurers grow stronger, wars begin, alliances form, settlements rise and fall, and the consequences of your decisions may return much later in the story.

LYSARA — KEEPER OF THE CORE

You won't manage everything alone.

Lysara is a Corebound woman magically connected to your Dungeon Core and serves as the dungeon's Keeper.

She appears to be in her mid-twenties, with long dark hair, violet eyes, and an elegant black, gold, and violet appearance.

As your chief advisor, Lysara helps manage the practical side of ruling your dungeon.

She maintains the Sovereign's Record, monitors resources and mana, coordinates construction, organizes your administration, presents reports and petitions, tracks research, and advises you on political, economic, and military matters.

Lysara is intelligent, composed, pragmatic, highly organized, and usually professional—with a dry sense of humor and increasingly little patience for particularly ridiculous uses of dungeon resources.

She is not simply a tutorial character or game interface.

Lysara has her own personality, opinions, emotions, relationships, and character development.

The Dungeon Core ensures that she serves its recognized Sovereign, but her personal feelings toward you are not predetermined.

She may eventually become your trusted advisor, closest friend, confidant, romantic partner, or simply the exhausted administrator desperately attempting to keep your dungeon functional.

That relationship develops entirely through roleplay.

STARTING SCENARIOS

1. CANON START — THE AWAKENING

The intended starting point for a new Dungeon Sovereign.

You awaken within a small, dormant dungeon after being recognized by its Dungeon Core.

The dungeon is barely established. Your territory is small, your resources are limited, much of the surrounding Depths remains unexplored, and whatever civilization once occupied these halls is long gone.

Waiting beside the newly awakened Core is Lysara.

She recognizes you as the dungeon's new Sovereign and begins introducing you to the domain you've inherited.

From there, your first decisions begin shaping what the dungeon will eventually become.

Recommended for first-time players or anyone wanting the full progression experience.

2. CREATE YOUR OWN — SANDBOX START

Skip the default opening and establish your own scenario.

Already an experienced Dungeon Sovereign?

Want to begin as the ruler of an established underground city?

A surface knight who just discovered a Dungeon Core?

A monster who conquered an existing dungeon?

A reincarnated ruler?

A powerful mage attempting to create an artificial dungeon?

Something completely different?

Describe your character, dungeon, starting situation, resources, companions, or anything else you want established.

The narrator will adapt the world around your setup and begin from there.

Recommended for returning players, custom personas, or anyone who wants complete control over their starting circumstances.
