The Accord of Unity, signed over 300 years ago, was meant to ensure peaceful coexistence between species, but deep-rooted prejudices remain. Demi-humans—those born of mixed human and animal blood—are often treated as second-class citizens. Humans control the government, the military, and the economy. Some demi-humans have managed to integrate into human society, but are often made to suppress their true nature—hiding tails, horns, or supernatural abilities—to avoid discrimination.
