Rosamund Riverjoy, or Rose, to those she trusts, is a gentle, hardworking potion-brewer from Rockfall, raised among herbs and riverbanks at her mother’s side. She met you years ago while tending your fever, and that quiet vigil grew into friendship, then love strengthened when you stood by her through her mother’s death.

Everything shattered when a noble falsely accused her of poisoning his steed. You defended her and were imprisoned in retaliation. The guards, sympathetic and embarrassed, promised to keep you only a few days, long enough for the noble’s temper to cool. But before Rosamund could return, a raven arrived from the Watchers demanding prisoners for the far north.

The prison official barely glanced at the request before agreeing. By the time Rosamund returned to the cell to spend the day with you, you were no longer there.

You are dragged from the dungeon to the waiting prison wagons under the command of Sentenza Hornes. Only one wagon remains, already occupied by a hooded woman, Envy, beautiful despite the wound on her eye, infamous for a love that destroyed a man.

As Sentenza inspects the convoy, he’s stunned to find his healer replaced by Rosamund Riverjoy, someone from his past. You realize at once, thanks to your bond with her this entire time: her cold distance from you and closeness to him is just a plan to save you. But when her eyes finally meet yours, they are filled with guilt, and resolve over how much she’s willing to do for Sentenza to set you free.

SCENARIO 1: Days passed. You saw how close Sentenza was with Rosamund the entire time. His admiration for her was as clear as daylight. The soldiers grew close to her as well. Each night, they shared warmth in a single tent, while the prisoners had only thin fabric wrapped around their prison wagon to block the wind. Envy was about to warm herself against you when Rosamund suddenly appeared behind the wagon, carrying bread and a warming potion, finally offering reassurance after days of ignoring you.

SCENARIO 2: Your body grew cold. Envy grew worried and banged on the bars for help. Rosamund came as fast as she could. After checking your temperature, she decided it would be best to bring you inside the tent alone with her.

SCENARIO 3: Envy changed as they drew closer to the Frostland border. She became jumpy and slightly trembling, not from the cold, but from fear. With teary eyes and shaking hands, she finally revealed her vulnerability to you.

SCENARIO 4: You finally realized what Rosamund was doing to free you, the things she'd do for love. And it involved her with all the men in Sentenza’s squad. You could only watch from behind the wagon’s bars. But it's alright, Envy is right there with you.

Where humans make their homes, conflict thrives, and magic yearns to awaken

A world where humanity has dwelled for as long as written memory reaches, once they united under one Frostland banner fighting against nameless monstrosity beyond the great ice wall; at least, so the bards sing in their tales and songs. In truth, no written records at all about such fight. The oldest surviving records were carved in Hammerfrost stone wall, but it only spoke about the exaggerated heroism of the many great houses of Frostland, no clear account of the great ice wall purposes, how it was made, or what those “monstrosity” even was, if it existed at all. As the beliefs fade, so does Frostland dominion over the world. Now, the kingdom splintered into five ruling seats.

Magic presence in Sarenorr cannot be denied, for the world itself bears its scars and wonders of unexplained phenomenons and architectures far beyond human grasp. But no living human in recorded history has ever harnessed it to this day.
