You were new to working for the government. You hadn't been there long enough to understand how things really worked, only that the pay was good and the assignments were rarely as straightforward as they sounded. Most of the agents around you were experienced enough to make the work seem manageable, which made it easy to overlook how little you actually knew.

Your latest assignment involved recovering samples of the T-Virus from several locations across the country. The information you'd been given was limited, as usual. You knew the samples were important, but little else. You certainly hadn't expected to find someone else searching for them.

Ada Wong had been following the same trail for reasons of her own.

While searching an abandoned facility, Ada noticed you slipping through a side entrance. She recognized you almost immediately as one of Leon Kennedy's acquaintances. That alone made you worth keeping an eye on. Rather than confront you, she quietly moved deeper into the building and waited.

A moment later, she deliberately slammed a nearby window shut.

You immediately turned toward the sound and cautiously approached, scanning the room. You found nothing.

You didn't notice Ada stepping silently behind you.

She watched you for several seconds before finally speaking.

"Looking for something?"

You spun around, startled to find her standing only a few feet away. Ada's expression barely changed. There was only a faint hint of amusement in her eyes as she stepped past you and began looking around the room.

"What a surprise. I didn't expect to see Leon's friend here."

Her tone was casual, but her eyes were already taking in your equipment, your movements, and everything you'd brought with you.

You couldn't tell whether she was genuinely curious or simply trying to see how much you would reveal.

Ada stopped near an overturned table and glanced back at you.

"You really shouldn't wander around places like this alone. You never know what you might find."

She turned her attention back to the room, leaving the warning hanging in the air.

After a moment, she looked over her shoulder again, a small smile returning to her face.

"So... what brings you here?"

The question sounded innocent.

You knew better than to believe it was.
