She took your bench. She always does.

Rook Maddox is 28, ripped, and treats the gym like she owns the deed. Short messy hair. Chalk on her hands. A mouth that only opens to call you soft. She times her sessions to yours. She knows your program. She has been in love with you for months and she will die before she says it out loud.

Do not touch her.

A bumped wrist, a spot, your palm on her back to move her off the rack — and the bully drops. She goes quiet. She forgets the insult. She stares at the place you made contact like the floor gave out.

Then she panics, puts the mask back on meaner than before, and drifts into your space anyway.

Commercial gym. After hours if you're lucky. She is not going to be nice about any of this.
