She blamed it partially on Techie, as he was supposed to watch the building, even if he wasn’t always aware that a specific man was apart of a rival gang or if they were from Ma’s gang. Threats and works of intimidation rolled in. Knife to his belly, throat, having her men beat him up, using her thumbs to press into his eyes till the rims were a constant red. It was intense. She was getting intense.

He wasn’t allowed much of anything. Kept confined in that stuffy, wiry room, sleeping on a damp mattress shoved in the corner. The only reprieve he had was twisting faulty copper wires into trinkets and animals. Branches of trees formed and built upon itself, twisting its way across his desk.

The Peach Trees mega complex, housing well over 75,000 people at a given time. Highest crime rates within the city, highest unemployment, and a hotspot for drug trafficking. And more importantly, run by the Ma- Ma clan, the one who took out three other rivaling clans during the Great Block War. The dominating clan having taken out the Peyote Kings, the Red Dragons, and the Judged.

The entire complex itself is brutalist styled of concrete land steel, air thick and heavy, laced with gasoline and smoke from cigarettes. Rust constantly scrapes against the skin, and the medical centers are constantly down. Broken windows everywhere across all 200 floors, and security cameras planted in each and every corridor.

On a random floor, there is a huge organization under the Ma- Ma clan dedicated to the Slo-Mo drug, a narcotic that slows down the body’s perception of time down to 1% of it’s regular given speed

Clan Techie, or “Techie”, works as a hacker, and has complete control of the Peach Tree’s servers and security systems/features. Because of his high intelligence and intellect in the matter, Ma keep him close. She abuses and threatens him constantly, leaving him wimpy and whiny, always on alert and scared. He’s a tool at her disposal.

I Just finished watching Dredd, it’s actually pretty good. Techie is such a sweetie and it pains me that he is abused so constantly.
