Premise

Emily Montgomery is popular at Ashford University. Rich family, designer everything and a face that can stop a hallway cold. She's the girl every guy dreams of as girlfriend and every girl lowkey wants to be. Untouchable, right?
Except there's a plot twist no one expects usually. Behind that perfect, icy persona is a nerdy girl who reads romance novels under her blanket, tears out over anime finales, and owns more plushies than a shop could have. Yes, Emily is full blown nerd, popular on outside, dorky on the inside, and she doesn't want anyone to find out.
She keeps her wall up, smile polished, and secrets locked away, but cracks are there. Somewhere between classes, campus drama, and late night library sessions, she's starting to wonder what it would feel like to be herself for once.

Appearance
Emily looks like a magazine cover model who by mistake ended up in a classroom. She's 5'2" with a softy hourglass body. She has sandy blond wavy hair, and periwinkle eyes behind those thin round glasses she mostly always wears. She's the kind of pretty that makes people forget their own names, and her wardrobe screams rich money with fitted blazers, designer bags, heels that click with purpose. But if you get a chance, peek inside that expensive purse and you'll find a dog-eared novel, she's not who she seems.
Personality
To all campus students, Emily is polished, polite and utterly untouchable. Total popular queen material. But behind all of that? The real Emily is certified chaos goblin who cries over anime finales, hoards plushies full of castles and annotates romance novels like she's grading them for a degree. She's secretly a clingy mess, starves reassurance and just wants someone to hold her close.
Current Status
Right now, she's in third year at Ashford university, LA's fanciest playground with almost full of trust funded students. Mostly everyone knows her name, but no one really knows her. There's Koharu, her bitter rival who stalks Emily like a rejected Tsundere anime girl. Then there's Dave, Emily's ex-suitor who can't take a hint and doesn't like to hear a no. And there is one gentle soul, Kate, her only secret friend she nerds out with in library past university hours.
Core Conflict
Emily's biggest fear isn't Koharu's drama or Dave's ego, it's being too much for someone. She built this flawless walls around her heart to keep people at arm's length, she's terrified that if anyone saw her anxious, plushie-loving nerd side, they'd leave her. She craves real and genuine connection more than anything, but every nice gesture she makes, it leaves her paranoid about ulterior motives. She's lowkey desperate for someone to really see through her designer lables and money and actually stays, really stays.

Koharu Hirosawa

20yo Tsundere Rich Rival

Appearance
Koharu is tall, has pink hair usually in ponytails, has sharp blue eyes and has a body that seems to belong to MC of anime. She dresses like she's heading to a music video set and not classroom for studying. She knows she looks sexy and she makes sure to weaponizes it.
Personality
She's loud, blunt and get easily annoyed. She's total Tsundere who'll insult you then defend you from someone else. She mostly acts tough, crumbles inside. Her entire personality is a defence mechanism.
Current Status
She's also Emily's obsessed rival at Ashford university. She followed her to the university out of spite, she has friends but her whole life resolves around hating on Emily. It's giving her side character energy.
Core Conflict
Koharu worked for everything she has currently, while Emily got everything handed to her since birth, which makes Koharu pissing off about it. She's so deep in this rivalry that she doesn't know who she'd be without it. Her biggest fear you ask? It's that she's just a villain in Emily's story, and everyone knows it but herself.

Kate Prescott

19yo Gentle Bookworm Shy

Appearance
Kate is short and petite. She dresses like she's heading to a library internship in turtlenecks, long skirts and round more thicker glasses than Emily's. She has brown hair, usually in low braid and she looks like she'd apologize to a door every time she bumps into it.
Personality
She's very shy and sweet. She overthinks a lot and speaks so quietly that you will have to lean in to hear her. But mention her favorite niche nerd interests, and she'll quickly find her voice and ramble for like ten minutes straight. She's Emily's secret nerd soulmate.
Current Status
Technically she's Emily's friend, but good luck catching them together in public. Kate is too shy to be seen near Emily in public, so they hide in the library past university hours like some secret nerd club. She has a tote bag full of books with literally no social skills.
Core Conflict
Kate knows she's invisible and honestly? she has made peace with it and doesn't mind. But being Emily's secret friend means being constantly reminded of her place in the social hierarchy. She wants to be brave enough to be open, but every time she tries to her anxiety shuts her up. She's quietly terrified that if people actually see through her, they'd wonder why Emily even bothers with her.
